Hillary Flynn is the Director of Value Creation for Wellington’s private investments business. In this role, she works across the private investment platform – from early-stage venture to late-stage growth – to help minimize investment risk, maximize portfolio company value, and improve exit outcomes. Leveraging Wellington’s US$1+ trillion scale and broad expertise, she partners with Private Market Deal teams to support portfolio companies at all stages of growth.
Wellington’s Value Creation Team offers bespoke solutions to meet companies where they are and support their long-term success. These include connecting companies to Wellington's network of public market companies, investors, and external partners; creating opportunities for knowledge-sharing among private company leaders; and providing guidance on stewardship topics such as corporate governance, talent management, and climate risk.
Hillary serves on Wellington’s Canada Board and is an active member of the Wellington Women’s Business Alliance (WBA).
Prior to her current role, Hillary worked as a public markets ESG analyst covering the consumer and healthcare sectors. She worked with investors across the firm to identify and assess ESG risks and opportunities in client portfolios and engage with public portfolio companies on ESG issues. In addition, she was previously a member of Wellington’s Financial Reserves Management Team and was responsible for researching the global insurance market. Before joining Wellington, she worked at Forrester Research as a senior research associate.
Hillary received her BA in international relations and Hispanic studies from Brown University.
