Jose is an investment specialist in Investment Product & Fund Strategies (IPFS), which is responsible for the business and investment oversight of certain investment strategies managed by Wellington Management. IPFS oversees all aspects of these investment strategies, including fund governance, product development, risk management, marketing, operations, and servicing of fund investors. IPFS also coordinates the strategy and message around the firm's full range of investment capabilities. In his role, he focuses on the firm’s private equity strategies. He works closely with private investors and investment directors, contributing to the development of new private equity products, helping ensure the integrity of the investment approaches in his coverage, and managing business issues and interdepartmental products as needed. He also helps coordinate the strategy, fundraising, and messaging internally and externally around the firm’s full range of private equity capabilities.

Prior to joining Wellington Management in 2022, Jose was an investment officer in WorldBusiness Capital (a private cross-border and impact debt investor) in Hartford, Connecticut (2014 – 2022). Before that, he worked as a senior associate in the transactional law area at Ernst and Young in Mexico City (2017 – 2019).

Jose earned his LLM from University of Connecticut (2019), MBA from Boston University (2014), and his BA in law from Universidad Iberoamericana Ciudad de Mexico (2010).
