As a private equity principal, Josh works closely with portfolio managers, global industry analysts, and other global research resources within the firm to identify, conduct due diligence on, and negotiate investments in private companies within the health care products and services sector.
Before joining Wellington Management in 2020, Josh was a vice president at Redmile Group, where he focused on crossover investing in the health care IT, technology-enabled health care services, and medical device subsectors (2015 – 2020). While at Redmile, he also helped to incubate/launch multiple digital health companies. Prior to that, he was head of operations at Stride Health, a health insurance marketplace (2014 – 2015). Before Stride, Josh was an associate at Bain Capital Ventures, where he focused on growth buyouts and early-stage venture investments in the health care IT and technology-enabled services verticals (2011 – 2013). Earlier in his career, he was an associate consultant and senior associate consultant at Bain and Company’s offices in Chicago and Melbourne, Australia (2008 – 2011).
Josh received his BA with General Honors in South Asian languages and civilizations from the University of Chicago (2008), where he was also selected as a Chicago Booth Scholar.
