FUND OVERVIEW

Actively managed long-only cash and bond fund seeking long-term total returns by investing primarily in a global portfolio of US Dollar-denominated treasury, corporate, high yield and emerging markets fixed income instruments. The Fund seeks to capture total return opportunities by leaning into higher risk-return securities where potential returns appear favourable, and provide stable levels of income through US treasuries, cash and investment grade corporates.

Fund Highlights
  • Truly active approach: The Fund follows an unconstrained, bottom-up investment approach, combined with a top-down risk assessment framework, to identify and evaluate opportunities with both income and capital appreciation potential, based on the assumption of material bouts of price volatility over shorter time horizons.
  • Dynamic rotation: A simple, long-only cash and bond fund that tactically rotates between corporate bonds, and treasuries and cash, owning corporates when there is perceived value in doing so and moving into treasuries and cash when valuations appear stretched.
  • Total return potential: We believe that the Fund’s dynamic allocation to fixed income securities with different risk-return profiles across market environments has the potential to deliver similar levels of income to US investment grade corporates but with higher and more stable total returns.

Time for credit selection to shine

Fixed income investors continue to seek answers to an era of volatile rates. Large, static exposures to credit markets no longer cut it. Instead, a nimble and dynamic approach is more likely to create resilient and consistent total return outcomes.
