FUND OVERVIEW

Actively managed and seeks to deliver long-term total returns in excess of the MSCI All Country World Index while contributing to the environmental objective of climate risk mitigation (addressing the causes and minimising the possible impacts of climate change) and adaptation (aiming to reduce the negative effects of climate change or helping communities adapt to the impact of climate change), by investing in the equities of companies worldwide.

Fund Highlights
  • Dedicated: Wellington has been investing in the climate space since 2007, one of the first asset managers to do so. Alan Hsu has been part of the investment team since 2008 and the portfolio manager since 2014, conducting fundamental analysis and research on the utilities, energy, renewable energy and clean technology sectors.
  • Focused: We focus on identifying material climate mitigation and adaptation solutions that we believe offer compelling financial returns, where climate stewardship represents a revenue opportunity, rather than a cost to the business.
  • Differentiated: Through Wellington’s exclusive collaboration with Woodwell Climate Research Center and being among a few asset managers to collaborate with Massachusetts Institute of Technology, we look to integrate physical and transition risk findings into our fundamental research, further informing our investment decisions.

Wellington launched its Climate Strategy approach on 31 May 2007. The Fund launched on 7 November 2018.
