Michelle is the director of Private Investments based in Wellington Management's Chicago office. She plays a critical role in ensuring that our Private Investments Team has the investment capabilities, fiduciary oversight, and infrastructure to meet the evolving needs of our clients. She is actively engaged in shaping the future of the private investments business by working with Investment Team leaders on investment capabilities, professional development, new investment approaches, key business decisions, and talent development. She also acts as a fiduciary for our clients in overseeing our investment teams and processes and plays an important leadership role working cross-functionally on key initiatives for the firm. In addition, she is co-head of Wellington’s Chicago office, and works closely with her colleagues on local business objectives.

Michelle joined the firm in 2001 as a client service analyst in the Institutional Client Service Group (2001 – 2003) based in Boston, and then worked as a relationship analyst in the Subadvisory Group (2003 – 2006). She left the firm to pursue her MBA and, upon completing her degree, worked at JPMorgan Private Bank in Chicago (2008 – 2010). She rejoined Wellington Management in 2010 as a relationship manager in the Chicago office and most recently as director of the Midwest Region.

Michelle holds an MBA from Dartmouth College (Tuck, 2008) and a BA in economics, cum laude, from Middlebury College (2001). She also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
