One of our clients, a mutual fund distributor, approached us about working with them to develop a new fund that would capitalize on certain developing global economic trends. The client had some ideas in mind, but needed assistance with regard to:
We put together a working group that included the Wellington Management relationship manager and members of our Global Equity Product Management Team, as well as key professionals from our client's organization. Together, we reviewed the funds currently competing in this segment of the market, including their structure, benchmarks, and performance. We also reached out to key members of our investment teams who could articulate their views on the short- and long-term investment outlooks for the sectors of interest. Working with this information, we developed and scenario-tested several possible portfolio structures, and recommended one of them to our client. The client reviewed this and conducted tests with a few key constituencies, then decided to move forward.
Once all parties agreed that our fund proposal met the necessary criteria, we also worked with the client to develop compelling marketing materials to be used for a fund rollout meeting with both the client's sales force and key potential buyers of the fund. On an ongoing basis, we also support our client's sales force and customer education programs with regard to this product and general investment information and trends.
We provide a variety of investment communications to our clients.
Our client base encompasses a range of institutions worldwide.
We exist for our clients and are driven by their needs.
